Closing for 2 weeks, as we are in a designated orange zone

Hello again everyone, we have an update today on yesterday’s social media post about covid-related business closures in Forest Hills.

While we had initially thought that we would be mostly unaffected, we learned this morning that the news is less positive. As of today, all salons in the area will have to close for a period of two weeks. This includes Micciche of course.
If you have an appointment scheduled for any dates included, you will be receiving a call today to reschedule. Yes, we are doing re-schedulings!
Keep in mind that the current situation is a very different one than the one that we faced in March. As such we are as confident as we can be that this newest pause will not be a protracted one, and we will be back to see you all beginning on the 22nd.
However, please also be aware also that our booking desk will be closed during this time. It will not reopen until the shop does, so any and all questions or appointment requests should be emailed to info@miccichesalon.com, or messaged via Facebook.
Thank you, take care, and we will see you soon

Micciche Salon is open once again, as of today! We are thrilled to be back and ready for visiting, and have worked hard to make the salon a safe experience for all. That includes some fairly large changes.

Reservation request list is closing soon!

Hello everyone!
Wow! Your response to our request program was stunning and well beyond what we had envisioned.
As you’re likely aware, that amazing response has slowed down return booking calls. Nevertheless, we will get to everyone as soon as possible, even if it means while we are open. As long as you are on the request list, you will receive a call!
As you also probably are aware, this Tuesday we will indeed be back in action! We are excited to be coming back to see you all!
With the amount of people who are already waiting for their booking calls though, our imminent reopening means that we must close our reservation request list. So as of 11:59pm tonight, we will no longer be taking new requests via email.
Again though, your response was incredible, and we couldn’t be more thankful to all of you for making our return a grand one.
We will see you Tuesday!

List members should expect calls!

Hello everyone!
A quick update for you today - confirmation calls are going out as of last week! If you have added your name to our reservation request list (if not, email us at info@miccichesalon.com!), then you should be receiving a telephone call to set up your appointment shortly.
Be aware that, during the call, you will be informed of new regulations that we still believe will be in place for the week of the 6th. Those include wearing masks at all times while in the shop, refraining from bringing guests with you during your visit, and arriving as close as possible to your appointment time.
These new rules might seem bothersome, but please remember that they are there for the safety of all. And it is because of them that we can get back to what we all want to do!
We will see you all soon!

Reopening our doors! Final info is out!

We'll see you soon, and safe!
Good afternoon everyone! We have some big announcements to make today for our reopening, and info as to what you can expect when we're back!
Most of you are probably aware that NYC enters Phase II this Monday. It's in Phase II that salons can reopen. However, as some of you might also be aware, we have made the decision to delay that reopening.
We realize this may be disappointing and it is for us too, but the choice was not an easy one to come by. Nevertheless we feel that jumping back in because the state says that we can is not the right move at this time. We want everyone to be as safe as possible while visiting with us, and we want to make sure that the threat of coronavirus has been diminished as much as is possible. So, with that in mind, Micciche Salon will officially reopen its doors just after the Fourth of July weekend.
Between now and then, we have scheduled deep cleaning services. They will be scouring the shop, scrubbing every nook and cranny, as well as focusing on our ventilation systems and air conditioning. We understand that this in-particular is exceptionally important as we move forward during the last days of the pandemic.
Speaking of moving forward, we will also be using this extra time to engage some repairs around the cutting floor, and get in the renovations that we had planned for the spring. So when you step back into the shop, you'll see one that's restored, refreshed, and ready to go for the summer!
A note on changes
When we reopen we will have a new series of protocols from the state that we must adhere to. Hopefully these will not last long, especially since that first full week of July will bring phase III for the city. Though for now we do expect at least some of these to still be standard.
Masks, disposable capes, visors (for our staff), temperature checks, and physical distancing will all be in effect. We will also be temporarily limiting the amount of people that will be allowed in the shop at one time, which includes our waiting area.
If any of the above changes, we will of course let you know. We're extremely hopeful that it will, so that you can all have an experience that's more like what you're used to receiving from us, and less of an abbreviated one, however temporary it may be.
Please be aware too that any and all new rules will be gone over with you by phone at the time of booking.
That will be much sooner than July, as we will start phone calls next week!
We will see you soon!
This is all going to go pretty quick now. And we'll be back in action and getting back to some kind of 'normal' as fast as we can. Trust us, we want nothing more!
But while you're with us, we take your safety very seriously. And we think that delaying just a bit longer should put all of us in a much better position.
If you have any questions at all, or would like to be added to the reservation list to book an appointment, email us at info@miccichesalon.com. We'll get right back to you!
In the meantime, stay healthy and safe, and we will see you soon!
Thank you,
Jason

Update on Appointment Requests

As many of our guests know, we are currently taking appointment requests via a reservation list. If you are not familiar with the process of joining, it's easy and doing so will get you one of the first available appointments upon our return to business!

All you need to do to get on the list is to send an email to info@miccichesalon.com that contains your:
  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Stylist and colorist
  • Services desired
  • Preferred day of the week and time
From there, a member of our booking team will get in touch with you closer to our actual reopening-day (which will be around the end of the month). They will confirm all of your information, as well as get you scheduled!

Please be aware that we will have limited capacity when we reopen. With that in mind, our 'week 1' list is filling up quickly, and we will begin holding spots for 'week 2' shortly.

Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

All NY salons ordered closed today at 8pm

Hi friends,
Today NY state announced that all hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, etc... will be ordered closed as of 8pm due to the coronavirus threat. At that time we will close up shop for an indeterminate period. As of now, NY has yet to announce a time or date when salons will be able to re-open.
As soon as we have a firm re-opening date from them, we will announce it here as well as on our Facebook page. So keep an eye out!

*so you are aware, we have cancelled appointments through April the 7th. If you have a service scheduled during that timeframe and have not received a call for some reason, please be aware that it is cancelled. We cannot, by law, be open again until NY announces a return to normalcy.
